Esther Akua George, is a natural lifestyle enthusiast from Ghana, West Africa. She has a deep connection with nature and an unwavering commitment to advocating for well-being through nourishing dietary habits, as a certified diet coach. Akua's academic journey culminated in attaining a BEng in Agricultural Engineering a foundation that has underpinned her diverse experiences. Presently, Ms. George contributes her skills to two Sustainability Institutes, where her roles encompass adept administrative skills and effective project management. In her career, she embodies a harmonious blend of ecological consciousness, nutritional advocacy, and proficient administrative capabilities.


Akua briefly joined our BSI team in 2023 in a learning capacity as she supported our team administratively. She has since grown as a leader, developing HerbSpice Community Ghana ensuring wholistic health education and awareness.


Akua continues to advance her learning and recently completed the Ignite Cohort 8 Fellowship for Women in Agribusiness, where she served as the Country Lead Representative for the Ghana Ignite team. The fellowship was been a transformative journey, providing her with invaluable insights, tools, and a powerful network of passionate women leaders in agribusiness across Africa. Throughout the fellowship, she deepened her understanding of sustainable agricultural practices, advanced business strategies, and impactful leadership skills—all crucial elements to drive positive change in the agrifood industry.


As the Ghana lead, Akua had the honor of representing a talented team of innovators and entrepreneurs dedicated to fostering sustainable growth and empowering communities through agribusiness. This experience further fueled her commitment to driving impactful solutions in agriculture and sustainability.


Ms. George has also led a BSI Each One Teach One Session on how to “Harness the Power of Herbs and Spices” teaching:


  • Knowledge of the diverse applications of herbs and spices

  • Ancestral herbal knowledge, and

  • How to apply these practices in your daily lifeAkua continues to grow with GoGreen Foods Farmacy and HerbSpice Community Ghana (NGO) dedicated to nurturing a resilient and sustainable food system.


In 2025, she will be working with three select BSN members to increase their knowledge of indigenous herbal remedies, culinary practices and growing techniques for cultural exchange.
